96% Zinfandel and 4% Petite Sirah
Concentrated fruit flavors with some black pepper spice and a long rich finish.  The grapes for the Black Oak Zinfandel were picked late during the harvest of 2004.  The wine is field-blended with a small percentage of Petit Sirah for strength, color and added complexity.  It is fermented in Stainless Steel tanks, then transferred to American Oak barrels for aging.  This is a fantastic representation of the Zinfandel grape with concentrated fruit flavors and some black pepper spice tones, ending with a long, rich finish. This wine is sure to make many new fans.

This Zinfandel is produced from grapes grown in Northern California’s beautiful Mendocino County where vineyards were first planted in the early 1860s.  Here the headwaters of the Russian River carve a fertile and rugged landscape.  This medium-bodied wine has outstanding complexity and character with flavors of blackberry, raspberry and plums mixed with notes of pepper, spice and earth, leading into a soft and lingering finish.

    100% Zinfandel
Robust berry flavors and exotic spice notes from the small grape clusters are balanced with French, American and Hungarian oak, which creates heady layers of vanilla and chocolate and a lingering finish.  This luscious wine pairs well with raucous fun at barbecue or pizza parties, a family dinner of hearty pasta or chili, and on its own to celebrate  personal triumphs.  Gnarly Zin grapes are from Lodi, the zinfamous appellation due to its ideal climate – long, warm summer days and cooling nighttime breezes from the ocean – and its well-draining, sandy soil.  From 30-80 year old vines.
